| Job in Durango | Typical setup | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Three Springs home build, 6-person crew | 1 standard unit, weekly service | Driveway apron placement keeps the truck off new landscaping |
| Animas River put-in or takeout day | 2 standard units + 1 hand wash station | Boaters and shuttle drivers stack up at the same hour |
| 120-guest Animas Valley ranch wedding | 1 two-stall trailer + 2 flushing units | Trailer for guests near the barn, flushing units by the dance area |
How do Durango weather and terrain affect a porta potty rental?
Durango sits around 6,500 feet in the Animas River valley. Winter nights drop below freezing from late October into April, so job site units get antifreeze in the tank. July and August bring afternoon monsoon storms, so units go on gravel or pavement instead of soft valley lawn, with doors turned away from the wind.
How much does porta potty rental cost in Durango?
In Durango, a porta potty (also called a porta john or portable toilet) starts at $175 for a standard event unit or $195 per 28 days on a job site. The 45-mile drive from Cortez adds a modest trip charge that several units on one truck can share. A quote for three Springs home build, 6-person crew would list 1 standard unit, weekly service, the trip and tax on one page.

(970) 239-2060What should you know before placing a porta potty in Durango?
Durango placements need three checks: the City of Durango for events and street right-of-way, the HOA for subdivision lots, and the ground itself. Animas Valley soils stay soft after spring runoff and summer monsoon storms, so set units on gravel or a driveway, and keep doors facing away from afternoon thunderstorm winds.

Durango porta potty questions
Can I get a porta potty in Durango today?
Same-day delivery to Durango is usually possible when you call (970) 239-2060 before mid-morning. Later calls get the first stop the next morning.
Do you charge extra to deliver to Durango?
Durango is outside our Cortez zone, so the quote includes a trip charge for the 45-mile drive. Several units on one trip lower the cost per unit.
Do you deliver restroom trailers to Durango weddings?
We deliver restroom trailers to Durango-area venues and ranches with level ground and power. Book trailers early for June through September weekends.
Can a porta potty sit on a Durango street during a remodel?
A unit in the street or sidewalk needs City of Durango approval. Most remodel units go on the driveway or a gravel pad on the lot.
Do you deliver portable toilets to Purgatory or Hermosa?
Hermosa and the US-550 corridor toward Purgatory are on our Durango route. Send the address or a GPS pin; resort property placement may need the resort's approval.
Can you supply a race or festival in downtown Durango?
We supply rows of standard units, accessible units and hand washing stations for races and festivals that have city approval. Book two or more weeks ahead for Memorial Day weekend.
