One flushing porta potty handles about 50 guests for a 4-hour event, the same as a standard unit, because the holding tank size is the same. Flushing and hand washing use fresh water, so a full-day event over 8 hours or 100 guests should add a mid-event water refill or a second unit.

Can a flushing porta potty be used in winter?
A flushing porta potty is not recommended when Cortez nights drop below freezing, usually from late October to April. The fresh-water flush tank and sink lines can freeze overnight. Winter events get a standard unit with antifreeze in the tank and a hand sanitizer dispenser, or a heated restroom trailer.

Is a flushing porta potty cheaper than a standard unit plus a hand washing station?
A flushing porta potty with a built-in sink usually costs less than renting one standard unit and one separate hand washing station. The trade-off is one sink per toilet instead of a shared two-sink station. Large events often mix both: flushing units near the head table and standard units with stations near food.

Does a flushing porta potty need a water hookup?
A flushing porta potty does not need a water hookup. The driver fills the fresh-water tank from the truck when the unit is set. The tank feeds the foot-pump flush and the sink, and it is refilled at every service visit.
Is there a light inside a flushing unit?
Flushing units have a translucent roof that lights the inside during the day. For evening events, add a battery tap light or ask us to place the units near existing yard or string lighting.
Does the flushing unit have a mirror?
Most flushing units have a small mirror above the sink along with soap and a paper towel dispenser. Restroom trailers have full vanity mirrors if guests will be getting ready.
How many flushes does the water tank hold?
A flushing unit's fresh-water supply covers roughly a full afternoon event. Usage varies with how hard each guest pumps. For events over 8 hours or more than 100 guests per unit, we schedule a mid-event refill.
Can I rent flushing units for a home I am selling or showing?
Flushing units work well at open houses, farm sales and estate sales because visitors can wash up. Place the unit near the driveway and away from the front door. One unit covers a typical one-day sale.
